Here at The Odeon, we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our patrons, artists and staff at all times.
Please understand that restrictions can change quickly. We are doing all we can to make sure we provide you with the most up-to-date information.
We ask that when attending The Odeon, you abide by the signage and staff advice in reference to social distancing regulations.
Please DO NOT attend The Odeon if you are experiencing any of the following:
cold or flu-like symptoms, fever, cough, sore throat or other symptoms of COVID-19.
Do I need to wear a mask?
As per current SA Health protocols, you will be required to wear a mask inside the venue for any event that has been sold at 75% capacity. Masks are not required for events that have been sold at only 50% capacity; however, SA Health currently recommends all patrons aged 12+ wear a mask while indoors at entertainment venues. Please check the specific Event Information for the event you are attending to check whether or not you will be required to wear a mask while inside The Odeon.
Some masks will be available at the venue if you cannot bring your own.
When should I arrive?
To avoid congestion, we request that you do not arrive more than 30 minutes before your event. The Odeon foyer has a limited capacity, so we are also asking patrons to go straight into the theatre to take their seats after their arrival at the venue. There will be clear signage and front-of-house staff to help direct you to your seats.
Do I need to check in?
Everyone attending The Odeon at any time – from our dancers and company staff to theatre patrons attending events – is required by the South Australian Government to complete a COVID-Safe Check-In upon arrival at the venue. Please look for the QR codes located near the venue entrance to complete your check-in using a smart phone; for patrons who do not have a compatible smart phone, a paper record will be available near the entrance for you to provide your details. You can read more about the COVID-Safe Check-In process and its use in contact tracing here.
How is The Odeon adhering to social distancing?
We aim to ensure that anyone who moves in, or around, The Odeon keeps at least 1.5m distance from other patrons whenever possible. Current overall venue capacity requirements of 2 square meters per person are also in place.
What about other COVID-19 safeguards?
As part of the ongoing safety protocols at The Odeon, we are providing hand sanitising stations at each entry point to the venue. We have also increased our cleaning procedures, with ‘high-touch’ areas being sanitised at regular intervals.
We encourage everyone visiting The Odeon to always act in a COVID-Safe manner for the safety of all. This includes, but is not limited to, washing hands before and after bathroom use, and regularly using hand sanitiser.
Will the bar be open for snacks or drinks before or after the show?
Unfortunately, in line with current public health advice, the bar at The Odeon is closed and will not be serving any patrons.
We want everyone who attends The Odeon to have a safe and enjoyable visit. Please be aware of those around you and the COVID-Safe protocols in place.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the theatre soon!
