“At ADT, we have always given centrality to choreographic experimentation and the exploration of new methodologies which interrogate the ontology of dance. This interest sparked our motivation to create a structure which provides artists with a range of residencies and workshops, access to an international network and the provision of mentoring and engagement in critical discourse” – Garry Stewart

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

Monday 19 October – Friday 27 November

This is an exceptional opportunity for a movement practitioner to work in a creative space within ADT’s Tanja Liedtke Studio in Adelaide. The residency will provide time and an environment for artists to evolve new ideas toward their choreographic practice.

We encourage applicants whose work embodies an experimental approach and challenges conventions.

ROOM TO MOVE

YEAR-LONG

ADT provides free space for locally based dance practitioners.

ADT has had a long history of encouraging and nurturing the creativity of its dancers and independent artists, as well as providing the means to create. The ADT ICC aims to act as a nexus for the exchange of ideas on choreography and to facilitate support for local, interstate and international dance artists in the development of new dance and the thinking that underpins it. These artists have connected with the ICC through the various programs available.

Contact ADT for more information on how to apply by emailing adt@adt.org.au.
