KARRA NAM

Karra Nam is a movement artist of Kaurna, Narungga and Chinese ancestry. Throughout her continuously developing practise, she aims to communicate knowledge and experiences learnt from the exploration of ancestral lineage and culture. Connecting her practise through a comprehensive meditation of country, soul and healing to generate unique movement pathways. 

Recently graduating from Adelaide College of the Arts, Karra is grateful for the experience to work alongside artists within multiple disciplines expanding the depth of her practise and knowledge of self. In 2022, Karra worked with Bangarra Dance Theatre under the direction of Stephen Page and Frances Rings joining them in productions of Sandsong (2022) and Terrain (2022). 

Grateful to begin her journey at ADT and proud to be the first Kaurna dancer in the company, Karra hopes to expand her practise strengthening connection to culture and community supported by her ancestors spirit, gaining knowledge to share important stories.
